We need to know a little about 3 calendars to understand the actual fact
The Julian calendar, proposed by Julius Caesar. Date according to the Julian calendar is 13 days behind its corresponding Gregorian date.
The Mayan calendar is an ancient calendar system that rose to fame in 2012, when a “Great Cycle” of its Long Count component came to an end, inspiring some to believe that the world would end at 11:11 UTC on December 21, 2012.
Gregorian calendar, also called New Style Calendar, solar dating system now in general use. It was proclaimed in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII as a reform of the Julian calendar.The Gregorian Calendar was first introduced in 1582 in some European countries. However, many countries used the Julian Calendar much longer.
Its predecessor, the Julian Calendar, was replaced because it did not properly reflect the actual time it takes the Earth to circle once around the Sun, known as a tropical year. Aslo it had some issues in the solar year. To get the calendar back in sync with astronomical events like the vernal equinox or the winter solstice, a number of days were dropped.
Sweden and Finland had a "double" leap year in 1712. Two days were added to February, creating February 30, 1712. This was done because the Leap Year in 1700 was dropped and Sweden's calendar was not synchronized with any other calendar.
In countries like France, Austria, Hungary, US, UK,Japan, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey have witnessed 10-13 days dropped in the years between 1582-1987.
We are using the Gregorian Calendar for 268 years (1752-2020).
According to the experts' calculation the number of days lost in a year is 11.
So in 1 year we lost 11 days
In 268 years we lost 11*268=2948 days
Basically we lost 8 years
365 days = 01 year
2948 days = 08 years
Following the Julian Calendar, we are technically in 2012.
Due to the change of calender a gap of 8 years has revealed.
Moreover destruction of earth practically means what crisis we are facing.
This crisis may be the start as a new cycle of humanity.
