RED BATER (QUAIL)

                               ENJOY RED BATER (QUAIL) WITH FULL TASTE 
 
Today's recipe is very popular among non- vegetarian  food lovers in any season. This is Red Bater(Quail) curry .Until a few years ago only stories of quail food were heard.  We also have a saying above the quail , that their quail in the hands of blind . All of this leads to how special it must have been in the past . The Wildlife Protection Act of India, since1972, has been available for farming and purchasing purposes a few years before the ban of quail was lifted.  Quail meat is rich in nutrition. It is a good source of iron , vitamin B6(pyridoxine) ,zinc, vitamin B3 (niacin) .Approximately 113g cooked quail has 257calories,28.5 g of protein, 16g of fat ,and no carbohydrates, fiber , or sugar . And above all it is very tasty . So let's start with the Red Bater curry recipe full of taste and health.
Cooking steps:
These are 5 pieces of quails which know as 'Bater' in India .  
  1. Take 2 medium sized onions and two small tomatoes which are roughly chopped.
  2. 8-9pieces of garlic and half inch of ginger ground into a fine paste. Put medium amount of mustard oil into the pan to fry the 'Bater' until it takes a crispy texture. 
  3. Flip and keep turning to avoid these from burning. Now take those out on a plate.  Put onions and tomatoes in the same griddle pan.
  4.  Add little oil and fry onions and tomatoes for 2to 3 minutes at medium heat .
  5.  Add half teaspoon of Kashmiri chili powder,  little salt and mix them well and fry for a minute.
  6.  Add quarter cup of water, mis well and cook for a minute. Cover it with a lid and cook for 5 minutes until tomatoes tenderize.
  7.  Switch off the burner and take out the fried onions tomatoes in the blender. 
  8.  Make a fine paste. Pour 3-4 tablespoon of mustard oil in a hot pan . These are a few dry spices put in the pan . Fry for a minute until these releases aroma.
  9. Pour ginger garlic paste , fry for 2minutes at low heat add a tablespoon of Kashmiri chili powder add pinch of turmeric powder. 
  10. Half teaspoon of cumin powder,  coriander powder, garam masala  add red chili powder according to your taste. 
  11. Mix well and cook for 2minutes at low flame. Add onion tomatoes paste mix well cover it with lid and cook for 10minutes at low flame and keep  stirring in every 2-3minutes .
  12.  Add 1cup of water and mix with the spices paste. 
  13. Now add semi fry Bater in the pan mix well and cover it again cook for 5minutes at low heat.  Add 1cup of water u can add more or less according to the amount of gravy you need.
  14.  Mix well increase the flame until it boils cover the lid and boil for 15minutes at low heat.
  Bater curry is ready  .
 You can enjoy it with steamed rice or roti . Served and garnish with coriander leaves.
